Lege is a full automated pipeline that takes your scans of aged documents and selectively binarizes the text so that they are pleasant to read on any E-ink reader like a Kindle or Kobo.
The application supports multiple advanced output formats, as well as extensively tested successful binarization methods, including one winner of the International Document Image Binarization Contest.
Unlike the currently existing manual scan editing programs, all you have to do is load your PDF and start processing; the defaults are good for 80% of scans. If you have a document requiring special attention, the rest of the program's options can handle it.
The design goal of the program is to get your processed book on your external E-ink reader in under 3 minutes, after configuration.
